But your words convince me.

I never recall any sushi shop serving that menu here in Jakarta, Indonesia, so probably has to make one later....Scalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629180242462257598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-28780348559171082462009-03-06T23:52:00.000+08:002009-03-06T23:52:00.000+08:00Oiishi sugiru! Naturally, we have the list you speak of, and we compare notes on where we have been. Our current favorite is Naomi Sushi in Menlo Park. We had the Omakase menu last week, along with lovely sake, and we both walked out stuffed and happy. Can't wait for Part 2!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-11238112717909664432009-03-06T03:43:00.000+08:002009-03-06T03:43:00.000+08:00@all - thanks for your comments! Part 2 coming soon...

@Robert - long time to see!

@Carolyn - I used to think that uni just tasted fishy, no matter how fresh it is. I know now there is a difference.

@Mrs. L - is Sushi Sam very good?

@Sid - fantastic! Thanks for the report back.

@Chef Ben - it depends. Sometimes we want a blowout meal and just expect to pay a lot for it. Sometimes we do tell the chef roughly how much we want to spend, or how many pieces we want to eat.Nate @ House of Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00999631992214200998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-73741266313949054862009-03-06T03:37:00.000+08:002009-03-06T03:37:00.000+08:00Oh, can't wait for the second part! The starters looked wonderful.

I'm curious, with omakase, do you tell the chef how much you're thinking of spending to give him an idea or do you just go with the flow and just forget about the tab?

Happy belated birthday Annie!Single Guy Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02496236420566420946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-9998578445893306782009-03-05T13:25:00.000+08:002009-03-05T13:25:00.000+08:00We don't get much sushi here and your meal looks y...We don't get much sushi here and your meal looks yummy! A lot of the uni is caught off the waters there, so it's as fresh as can be -- sweet, custardy and heavenly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-20767465915162174192009-03-04T03:56:00.000+08:002009-03-04T03:56:00.000+08:00Wow! not a sushi fan, but, that is some nice looki...Wow! not a sushi fan, but, that is some nice looking work, that guy has some skills.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04777038095251149758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-24733281408431622392009-03-04T02:14:00.000+08:002009-03-04T02:14:00.000+08:00I'll be back with my drool bib to read Part 2...I'll be back with my drool bib to read Part 2...Jensterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00390944490265195300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-40896329607817353102009-03-04T01:24:00.000+08:002009-03-04T01:24:00.000+08:00Those dishes all look great - looking forward to p...Those dishes all look great - looking forward to part 2!Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13599208082890099005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36752534.post-28843021328507294942009-03-04T01:00:00.000+08:002009-03-04T01:00:00.000+08:00Ohhhh, what a tease!
